About Indoor Cricket USA
Indoor Cricket USA (ICUSA) was established in April of 2000 by brothers Lalta and Kawal Persaud. ICUSA is designed to expand the influence the game of cricket throughout the United States of America. It serves cricketers of both sexes of all ages and abilities, and is open to members and non-members alike in the New Jersey, New York & Connecticut area. ICUSA has grown as a facility for use by clubs, individuals, schools, groups, companies, and cricketing organizations.

The program will kick off with a free four-day open camp in New Jersey from March 13-16 conducted by Robin Singh. At the camp, players will be assessed, trained, and selected to participate in the WWCA Elite Women’s Program. Selected players will follow structured and monitored cricket and fitness programs, receive free local coaching, and the top performers will play a series of matches on a tour to a Caribbean island in June.

“The effort and enthusiasm of the women cricketers are humbling and I’m happy to help take US women’s cricket to the top. This is a great start and I hope more come on board to support. It’s a new challenge but I enjoy challenges,” said Robin Singh.

The program is targeted at high-potential players – women who have the ability, motivation, and commitment to develop their games to perform at the international level and are eligible to represent the USA Women’s national team within the next two years and beyond. The program is designed around the work-life balance of players in the US and existing local women’s cricket initiatives in order to maximize output and benefits.

“Our elite players need structure to take their games to the next level and this program will provide that structure. At the Academy we are thrilled to help prepare the women for future international tournaments,” said Ricky Toolsie, President of WWCA.

“This program will help to fill the gap of development opportunities for our current players. It will also give more meaning to youth programs around the country by giving girls a purpose or a goal to aspire to achieve,” said Nadia Gruny, Program Director of the WWCA Elite Women’s Program and USA national player.
