Centurion in winning the toss opted to take first strike and opened their batting with former the classical S. and US under 19 player Trevor Singh
Ramjohn. Both openers was batting fluently despite a few dropped catches until Jason Thomas was introduced into the attack and accounted for the first wicket, that of Ramjohn LBW for 48 (7×4 & 1×6) K. Jairam was the next in and did not survived long and was also out LBW to Thomas. In came the talented cricketer Troy Doodnauth who started very cautiously.

Kallicharran was introduced into the attack and had Sing dancing down the track only to be deceived and stumped by stand in wicket keeper Nicky Joseph for a well-played 50. O. Myrie came in next and after driving Kallicharran for a beautiful for was out in Kallicharran’ next over caught for 10. As wickets started falling with Kallicharran accounted for the next two batsmen. Troy must have felt that his team needed him to step up the tempo. In attempting to do after hitting a six and couple of fours, he was out caught by Asif Ali on the long off boundary off the bowling of Leroy Jackman for a well-played 41.

Centurion was then bowled out for 216 runs off 36.2 overs.
