Richie Sieuchand and the skipper himself who walked to the middle for MMZ, for the Camelot Rebellious team the new leather was trusted in the hands of Narayan Persaud and Kemaul Singh, well it was Sieuchand who started the pre 4th of July fireworks at Flushing Meadows Park smashing both Singh and Persaud to all parts of the park, Sieuchand brings up his half century in quick time with a blistering cover drive for four.

Mohammed was at the non-striker end just looking on as his partner was doing the damage. Mohammed was first  to go, caught trying to pull a short ball that slowed up on him, Saud Hussain was promoted to number  three was out for 3, in came USA under 19 player the attractive Trevis Ross. Next to go was Sieuchand  trying to go for the maximum was out to a brilliant catch for 56 which includes 7 glorious 4 and 2 huge sixes. USA under 19 player Amarnath Persaud walked in to join his mate and longtime best friend. Ross was the aggressor as he was timing and stroking the ball nicely, hitting some fluent shot. Persaud in his own calm way was picking up the singles and doubles, his partner Ross brought up his fifty with a sweet extra cover six, Ross looks settled to score a hundred but was eventually out caught for a well composed 74 which includes 10 exquisite fours and 2 powerful sixes.

Baksh batting at number 6 giving the youngsters a chance didn’t last long, was bowled for 1, Rocky Kowchai was out first ball for a duck bowled by Surujpaul. Persaud was joined by Zaaid Majeed and the pair batted well until Majeed was out caught. Rawle Hoyte came in and saw Persaud reaches his well-played fifty which includes 4 glorious fours and a sweetly timed six. Persaud was next to go caught off the bowling of Surujpaul for 51. MMZ was eventually all out for 240 with five overs remaining. Surujpaul finishes a fine spell of 4 for 25 off 6 overs.

Camelot Rebellious started off disastrously losing Royston Harry, Ian Chin and Surendra Singh all succumbed to the pace of the promising fast bowler Rocky Kowchai who finishes with 3 for 14 off 5 overs. It was the young talented US under-19 player Amarnath Persaud who replaced Kowchai who had already dented the back bone of the strong Camelot Rebellious batting order. Persaud swung the ball beautifully and was rewarded with the wickets of Narayan Persaud bowled with a delivery that cut back sharply for 14, Dean Mustaphali caught for 1, Arun Dabby, Tahir Surajpaul and Mohammed Alli was all bowled by some fine swing bowling from  Persaud  he finishes with a fine spell of 5 for 12 of 5.3 overs.
