Tri-City vs TUCC at Waterbury CT

Batting first, Tri-City were staked to a 219 run total on the strength of 49 runs from skipper John Persaud, 42 from Fizel “G” Husain, and 33 from Ray “the Assassin” Cecil.
TUCC were all out for 169 in 32 overs.  Top scorers were Verun with 42, Chanderpaul with 26, and Raj with 22.
Bowling highlights for TUCC were Punter’s remarkable 3/14 performance and Kishan’s 2/14.
For Tri-City’s bowlers, Fizel Husain led the way with an excellent 3/18, followed by Ray Cecil’s 3/29 haul.  Ashok Addikopula chipped in with 2/21, and Mike Persaud added a stingy 2/7.

Kunaal Kapoor of LI Lions struck 60 and returned with the ball to take 4 for 20 against Seven Star.

Statics vs National at VCP

Batting first, Statics scored 281/8 in 35 overs.  Top scorer was Muhammad Umar with 89, Atiq and Aziz, both with 34.
National replied with 149/7 in their 35 overs.
Statics won convincingly by 132 runs.

Pasban vs Strikers at Whitestone 1
Match tied!!  However, per CCL rules, Strikers get the win for having a better aggregate run rate.
Batting first, Paban scored 127 all out.  Top scorer was Mubashar Razzaque with 65.
Strikers fought back with 127 runs of their own, with Mohsin leading the way with 60 runs himself.
Bowling highlights for Strikers; Farooq with 4 wickets.
For Pasban, Hamad took 4 wickets, while Mubashar added two of his own to the collection.
A tie is an unusual occurrence, but after consulting the league rules, it was determined that Strikers would be declared the winner by virtue of having the better aggregate run rate

Pak Punjab vs Pak America at VCP

Batting first, Pak Punjab were 132 all out in 33.2 overs.  Top scorer was Usman Iftikhar with 24.
Pak America managed a respectable 126/9 (Pak America traveled one short). Top scorer for Pak America was Assad Hussain with 30.
Bowling highlights for Pak Punjab include Waqas Ali who went 3/31, and Adnan Ilahi who finished on 3/43.
For Pak America’s bowlers, Asif Raza was the class of the bunch, taking four wickets and only giving up 4 runs!
Wahab Munir and Amir Mustiq chipped in with 2/15 and 2/16 spells, respectively.

NY Fighters vs. Melbourne

Batting first, Melbourne staked their way to 134 runs in 26 overs. Top scorer was Sonu with 47 runs.
NY Fighters fought back to overtake Melbourne in the final over to secure the 4 wicket victory. They were led by the batting tandem of Nabeel with 36 and Sonu with 30.
Bowling highlights for NY Fighters include Ali with 4 wickets and Bilal with two.

LI Lions vs Seven Star

Batting first LI Lions scored 176/all out in 27 overs.  Top scorers were Captain Kunaal Kapoor with 62, and Abhishek and Maneesh who added 25 runs each.
Seven Star clawed their way to within 7 runs, but couldn’t finish, ending on 169/all out in 29 overs.
Bowling highlights for Seven Star include Mohsin and Ritchie who both bagged 3 wickets each.
For the LI Lions, Kunaal Kapoor was the true class of the bunch, taking 4 wickets for just 20 runs.  In fact, it was Kapoor who took three wickets for just one run with Seven Star needing 9 runs off 12 deliveries with 3 wickets in hand, thus sealing the win!
Ashish and Abhishek also contributed, taking two wickets each.
