In a thrilling and low scoring 35 overs encounter between United Sports Club and Melbourne Cricket Club played on Sunday 24th June, 2012 at Flushing Meadows Park.

Host United Sports Club won the toss and elected to take first strike scoring 133 runs in 28.3 overs. Steve Massiah who is in fine form all season with the bat and ball top scored with a well played 45 runs which includes 3 x 6′s and 3 x 4′s and was ably supported by Dino Choo-Wee-Nam scoring a brisk 18 runs.

Bowling for Melbourne C.C. Arif picked up 5 wickets.

Melbourne C.C. in reply made a concerted effort but fell short, they replied with 130 runs all out in 30 overs. Main contributor for Melbourne C.C. came from Arif 33 and Mitul a well played 24 not out.

Bowling for United Sports Club Steve Massiah picked up 4 wickets, Richie Sieuchan and Dini Choo-Wee-Nam 3 wickets each. It must also be noted that Arif from Melbourne C.C. also had an impressive all-round performance bagging 5 wickets and scoring 33 runs.

United Sports Club won the match by 4 runs.
