Scarborough, Tobago, – The Windward Islands completed a comprehensive win in their opening match of the West Indies Cricket Board Tobago House of Assembly Regional Under 17 Tournament which bowled off in Tobago today.
After winning the toss at Bon Accord, Windwards dismissed Guyana for a paltry 105 from 28.3 overs in the 50 over contest. Windwards then romped to 106 for 1 from 15.1 overs with Man-of-the-Match Kyle Cabey ending unbeaten on one run shy of a half century while wicketkeeper/opener Gidron Pope made 32.
For Guyana Shimron Hetmyer topscored with 40 while Brandon Prasad (10) was the only other batsman to have attained double figures.
Daryl Cyrus bagged 4 for 15 and Brian Joseph supported with 3 for 27.
