St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced that it will provide, at no charge, live video streaming of the Super50 and 4 Day tournaments for the season which starts tomorrow, February 7th.

The WICB will provide a fixed-to-pitch camera video stream for all matches in the two tournaments. The video stream will be available via and will also have accompanying live ball-by-ball commentary from the radio commentary teams.

The Super50 tournament bowls off tomorrow with three day/night matches starting at 2pm (1pm Jamaica time) – Barbados hosting Jamaica, Guyana tackling Leeward Islands in Antigua and CCC facing Windward Islands at Beausejour.

“Fans have been clamouring for television coverage of regional cricket and while the cost for a full-fledged television production is prohibitive, we have found an online solution which will allow fans to view all matches live via their computers and mobile devices,” said WICB Corporate Communications Officer Imran Khan.

“We are using the available technology to take the coverage of West Indies cricket to new heights which will allow fans anywhere in the world to see our regional players in action at all the venues,” Khan added.

“We had done some limited video streaming previously but we have now established the live video streaming of senior men’s matches as the standard which will continue throughout the season and in upcoming seasons as well,” Khan explained.

“While the video footage will be just one camera initially, we hope, with added funding and possible sponsorship, to widen the production to include multiple cameras and ball follow,” Khan said.

“This is an initiative towards the promotion of regional cricket to bring the live action to a wider audience, especially to fans who are not in the same countries where matches are being played and fans further overseas,” Khan said.
