Superstars Undefeated In NYPD Twenty/20

Richmond Hill Superstars led by current USA under 19 player Azurdeen "Andy" Mohammed tops the NYPD Cricket League charts. The team is undefeated with six wins and an amazing 112 points. Superstars is consisted of young players from the Richmond Hill and Jamaica area. The team is coach by Ajaz Asgarally and managed by Fiaz Asgarally and they ensure the team plays discipline cricket and at the same time have fun in the exciting 20Twenty competition.

The coach is confident that the team will go all the way and will be crowned 2009 NYPD champions.

Captain Azurdeen said, "we have an experience bowling and batting line up, Samuil Gandhi and Neel Patel are two top class spinner and we can depend on them to win games on any giving day."

Superstars are also exposing young players to cricket, so they get the chance to gain the experience and improve. "If the opportunity is not giving to these young cricketers then cricket wouldn’t go anywhere in the country," said coach Asgarally.

With one game remaining in the regular season before the playoffs, Superstars will face off Tigers next Wednesday at Kissena Park 10:30 a.m.
