Stars is unbeaten in regular season Richmond Hill won the toss and decided to bat first. Pooran Balkissoon and Ahmad Shazaman (Zaman) gave Richmond Hill a relatively good start of 43 before Zaman was caught off the bowling of Kawal for 14. Krishna Chickery joined Pooran and scored all 16 runs for their partnership before he was bowled. Richmond Hill lost two more quick wickets and was restricted to 63 for 4 after 13 overs. Darshan Chickery and Bridgelall Heralall (Max) added 36 for the fifth wicket partnership before Darshan was caught for 21. Wickets fell at 103, 113, 125, 136 and 143 when Richmond Hill was eventually bowled out in the 29th over. Max made 17. Rishie bagged 4 for 22 while Kawal and Ravin took 3 for 28 and 2 for 30 respectively. Rising Stars replied with 146 for 9 off 29.4 overs. Kawal top scored with 39 while valuable contributions came from Parris (24), Jagenauth (19) and Rishie (23). Rishie and Jagenauth hit 4 sixes between them in the innings’ last three overs to pull out what looked like an improbable feat. Ravi Lutchman took 4 for 32 while J. Hemraj had 2 for 27. Rising Stars and Richmond, both will draw byes to the semi-final round by virtue of being the numbers 1 and 2 seed respectively. |
