Nassau League Super-4 Play-offs, Sunday August 24, 2008

If you appreciate the finer things in life and you are a cricket enthusiast that would like to see some good quality cricket, then the Nassau Cricket League has a special treat for you this Sunday, August 24, 2008 when their Super-4 play-offs begins.

The league’s most prestigious competition gets underway Sunday, August 24, 2008 with some exciting match-ups; two semi-final games in Divisions I and II.

In Division I, it will be defending champion Challengers CC vs. Pure Players CC @ Bay Park, East Rockaway and Albion CC vs. NY Eagles @ Beach 32nd. St., Far Rockaway.

All but one of the Division II semi-finalists is yet to be determined, however it is projected that it will be *Carpet Doctor CC vs. Victory CC @ Baisley Park, 150th St. & Rockaway Blvd. and *West Demerara vs. *Brooklyn Queens @ Beach 58th. St., Far Rockaway.

* Teams that qualified for the Division II play-offs at the time this article was written.

The league’s finest players and best teams will be on display this weekend.

Steve Massiah (USA National Captain), Ryan Ramdass (former West Indies player), the incomparable Sudesh Dhaniram, Nyeem Baksh (Albion’s captain), David Mohamed (former T&T national), Denis Rampersad (former T&T national), Naresh Mandbodhe, Avalon Cuffy, Daryl Roopchand, Kumar Nandalal, and Quyaam Farrouk are some of the players that will be in action.
