WIA Made A Big Come Back By Beating Vikings

Vikings won the toss and batted first making 164 losing all their wickets in only 36 overs.

Batting for Vikings A. Mahase top score with 44, M. Kanhai made 25 and A. Gomes with 21. Vikings was batting 54 with the lost of 5 wickets, A. Mahase with his 44 and A. Gomes 21 brought the score to a total which Vikings thought they could have defended.

Bowling for WIA Lalta Persaud took 3 wickets for 34 runs in 8 overs. Linclon Le Blanc took 2 wickets for 31 runs in 8 overs. Kawal Persaud took 2 wickets for 22 runs in 8 overs and S. Mohammed, Conrad Carbon and Q. Farrouq all took 1 wickets each.

WIA won making 165 in only 29.1 overs losing 4 wickets.

Batting for WIA was Quyaam Farrouq hitting a smashing 46 runs with 8 fours and 1 six before getting caught. Leslie Etienne add 29 and S. Mohammed brought the game home for WIA adding 26.

Bowling for Vikings, V. Persaud, M. Montana, A. Mahase and I Ali all taking 1 wicket each.

Pierre Unbeaten Hundred Sets Up Albion Victory
D. Pierre scored a magnificent unbeaten 104 which included 13 fours and five sixes to set up a wonderful vicotry for Albion.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Albion got off to a disastrous start, being 41 for 4 and 87 for 8, before Pierre and Aziz, who scored 40, came together and put on a valuable 98 runs partnership in quick time to lead the revival and help Albion to post a score of 266 in 40 overs. N. Mabhode made 23 and T. Sewak 29. For Rising Star, R. Willians and D. Dyanand took 2 wickets each.

In reply Rising Star put up a good fight with James scoring 92, B. Brown 36 and R. Williams 26 to give their team a solid foundation. However, after being in a commanding position at 148 for 2, Rising Star collapsed for 195 All Out, to give Albion an easy win. The pick of the bowlers for Albion was T. Aziz with 5 for 40 off eight overs.

United Sports Coast To Easy Win Over Ramdeen Sports
After winning the toss and elected to bat first, Ramdeen Sports managed 179 for 7 in their 40 overs. The main contributors were T. Ramkisson 68, M. Munir 38 and S. Choonoo 23. For United Sports G. Lorrick took 3 wickets and R. Siechand and R. Singh took 2 each.

In reply United Sports eased to victory with the loss of only R. Singh for 35. V. Nagamootoo continued his good form this season with an unbeaten 70 and R. Siewchand also not out on 60.

Undefeated Rockaway Cricket Club Rolled Over Port Mourant For 4th Win

Rockaway won the toss and elected to bat lost opening batsman S. Hussein (5) and Rudy Narine (9) early in the innings. However Robert Narine with previous scores of 37, 54 and 46 n.o anchored the innings with a fine (79).

The pair of Robert and J. Hardeen (82) revived Rockaway innings. Hardeen was severe on the Port Mourant attack after being let off a few times, hitting sixes and fours to all parts of the ground. The partnership of Robert and Hardeen set up Rockaway for a huge total. P. Beepat and Kundan blasted the Port Mourant attack for 25 each, were the other notable contributors for Rockaway total of 291/7 in their allotted 35 overs. D. Ramsaroop with (3/33) and Oosman (3/52) were the main wicket takers for Port Mourant.

Port Mourant turn at the crease found the going tough chasing 291, was routed for 131. After a quick start by Khan who made 18, they lost quick wickets and were never in the game with V. Khilawan (28) D. Ramsaroop (20) C. Ramlall (19) the other main contributors for Port Mourant.

West Dem Lose To Melbourne/Alliance
Match was played ot 150 street and Baisley. West Dem was sent in to bat and made 159 runs of which Andre Persaud made 44, Bert Khan 35 not out. Amar Amarnauth 14 and R. Madho 12. Bowling for Melbourne/Alliance Heywood took 4 for 30, Hurley 2 for 33, Sudama 1 for 38. In reply Melbourne made 160 for the loss of 5 wickets. Sudama made 62 not out, Heywood 29, Mootoo 12, Nanan 14. Amar Amarnauth took 2 for 32 and Jerry Mohamed 1 for 22.
