For WI Alliance

2009
On a sticky wicket Albion won the toss and elected to take the field.
WI Alliance openers were off to a decent start before the lost of
K. Persaud with the score on 23, T. Jervier then joined Q. Farrouq
and they added 77 for the second wicket before WI Alliance wickets
started to fall.
With Q. Farrouq still at the wicket, Alliance hoping of posting
a respectful target on a difficult wicket seems possible. Farrouq
however fell for a well crafted innings of 78 that included 7x4s
and 3x6s and give Alliance a total of 170. The pick of Albion bowlers
were T. Pooran 5 for 11 of 6.4 overs and T. Aziz 3 for 26 of 5 overs.
Albion started their innings with N. Manbodhe and D. Sookdean and
were off to a quick start before both went to R. Toussain for 16
and 29 respectively. Which brought the ever reliable N. Baksh but
wickets keep falling and he started to run out of partners, only
to see him brilliantly run out by Angelo and Qayaam for 40. Albion
were all out for 142 in 26.1 overs.
Wickets of Alliance L. LeBlanc 3 for 32 from 7.1 overs, R. Toussaint
3 for 21 from 5 overs, L. Persaud 2 for 39 from 6 overs and 14 year
old Ryan Persaud with his leg spin bowled excellent with 2 for 18
from 4 overs.
Alliance next game is against Rising Stars at Beach 32 on 7/19.
