East Coast Starts 20/20 With A Bang
East Coast Cricket team register their first win by hammering Cavaliers Cricket Club in the New York Softball Association final competition of 2007.

Cavaliers win toss and elect to field.

East Coast made some adjustment to there batting having Naeem Mohammed and newcomer Narshad opening the batting. Naeem start the onslaught early hitting 34 with 2x6 & 3X4. Solid support came from Ivan 30, skipper Peter Persaud 20 and Ronald Khan made a smashing 36 to lift East Coast to 172 for 7.

Mahendra “Murph” Seeram giving the new ball for first time of the season firing with all cylinders got A. Sanasie caught with out scoring and captain Rishi Singh caught for 2. Veteran pacer Peter Sookdeo and “Murph” bowled with aggression and had Cavaliers reeling at 28 for 6.

Cavaliers found themselves in more trouble when star bowler Gummel Matti was introduced and claimed 4 wickets for 4 runs.

Cavaliers would end up mustering a total of 91 all out.
