Invaders Advance To Playoffs

A splendid innings of 84 not out by Paul Drickpaul powers Invaders into the playoffs in the NYSCL 25 overs Championship division IIB competition sponsored by P.K. Realty and Mortgage Company. Young brothers won the toss and sent Invaders in to bat.

Invaders were soon struggling at 29 for 3 after 8 overs, skipper Drickpaul stayed to the end hitting 8 fours and 5 sixes and he received support from Boodram who contributed 21 and Aanand Drickpaul with 17. After 25 overs Invaders finish on 187 for 9 wickets. Bowling for Young Brothers Tiwari took 3 wickets, P Mohan and V Gunga with 2 wickets each were the pick of the bowlers.

Young Brothers in their reply found runs hard to get on a rain affected wicket and made 129 for 6 from 25 overs with their captain Dhanraj top scoring with 47 not out. Seodat did the damage with the ball for Invaders with 3 for 9 off his 5 overs spell.
