By James Persaud

June 25th, 2009
On a day when almost every thing seems to be going south, Kris Shobai held his cool and bat to almost the end in making sure his team brings home the championship in the 25 over competition. The game got a late start and had to be reduced to a 20 over affair.

In reply the Hustlers batting suffer an early set back as they loss the wicket of their in form batsman Pooran Beria who scored an unbeaten 102 in the semi finals. The Cavaliers bowlers kept the game close as they bowled a good line and length on the wet surface. The game could have been much closer had it not being for some poor fielding and a few drop catch by the fielders.

After Cavaliers grabbed a few early wickets and things was looking a little rough for Hustlers. Their skipper Kris Shobai who finds himself in this position before was still at the crease and the responsibility was left on his shoulder for Hustlers. Kris batted with class and common sense playing yet another responsible inning; he was well supported by Ravi Mohan who was awarded the man of the match. Hustlers reached the required target with one over to spare.
