Enmore And Bayshore Rained Out
Once again the rain came down in torrential downpour accompanied by
sharp lightning resulting in a rain out. Had it not been for Bayshore
Tigers loosing 4 new balls and one old ball to the thorns and bushes
(and a big black snake) and Enmore loosing one new ball at Heckshire
State Park, the results could have been different. There was too much
time wasted in trying to find these balls.
ECC won the toss and elected to bat. Imran Ali the Captain, and Anil
Seebarran, both part of the EACA league team that won the Mayor's Cup
last Saturday, opened the batting, in a hot and humid condition, made
a partnership of 69 runs, before Imran was caught in the deep for a
well played 33 that included 3 sixes.
Other good scores came from the aggressive and dependable Saheed Mohammed,
who was run out for 31, Safraz Ali 34, Anil Seebarran 27 and J.Persaud
15, having played the shot of the day, a glorious extra cover drive
off the nippy Abdulla.
Scores: Enmore Cricket
Club: 209 all out off 35.3 Overs.
Bayshore Tigers
were 60 for 2 off 14.1 Overs when the downpour came.
