to a very hot start with no less that five players opening the season
with centuries, during the past two weeks.

slid through to the EACA’s Twenty/20 finals, scheduled for tomorrow

The Eastern American Cricket Association’s inaugural Twenty/20
tournament has been gaining momentum among some of the teams, as they
get some traction, despite the less than favorable weather in recent
weeks.

The EACA concluded its 40-overs schedule with two matches last weekend.

After several months of cricket lovely cricket, and a few heartbreaks
along the way, the curtains come down this weekend on the Eastern American
Cricket Association’s 2007 season, with not one, but two division
finals being played on the same day.

Bank and Everest/ACS Twenty20 Champs!
East Bank Cricket Club emerged EACA Division “B” Twenty20
champions last Sunday, defeating Golden Arrow Cricket Club by six wickets,
primarily behind the bat of Debo Sankar and Zaheer Sadloo’s half-centuries.
East Bank showed no signs of rust, despite a prolonged period of inactivity,
due to league scheduling difficulties.

Under-19 Squad Rolls To Championship Victory
Following an unbeaten run in the New York Metropolitan and Washington,
DC Under-19 tournament, the Eastern American Cricket Association’s
Under-19 Eastern American Tigers defeated the Tri-State Bulldogs, coached
by Linden Fraser and managed by veteran youth cricketer organizer J.P.
Singh, at Idlewild Park, Rosedale, Queens.

The Eastern American Cricket Association’s participation in this
year’s Under-19 tournament has paid off big dividends for the
league’s squad of youngsters.
