New York Eagles Won Handsomely Over Brooklyn

East Rockaway: In the lone match played over the weekend,
NY Eagles batting first, chalked up an imposing 314 all out
from 39.3 overs. Joseph Roojas scored his first century of
the season 111, other contributors were H. Khan 33, F. Jagmohan
25 and R. Khan 22 not out. Bowling for BQ United, G. Singh
3 for 72.
Brooklyn Queens United in reply was bundled out for 64 in
23.3 overs. Nicholas George 30 runs was the only batsman to
reached double figures. Neal Khan 3 for 22 and Ryan Khan 3
for 8 were the main wicket takers for NY Eagles.
This weekend, Nassau League teams will be watching the Caribbean
XI take on the US and New York XI on Saturday July 8th and
Sunday July 9th at Floyd Bennett Field. The League will resume
regular scheduled cricket on July 15 and 16, 2006.
